No Discount Left Behind

As we move forward into 2010, we want you to know that all of our accounts are being reviewed to ensure that you are receiving all of the discounts and credits you are entitled to. We have also signed on with new companies to offer more options and will be planning to review every account prior to its next renewal.

Please bear in mind that we are reviewing in order of renewal date so we are currently working on those policies set to renew within the next 60 days. Flood Insurance

Every year the snows come and we generally go through a series of warming trends and re-freezing. This -- often referenced as the "January Thaw" has traditionally helped reduce the extent of the spring "meltdown." This year, we've arrived at the end of January with an abundance of snow and ice and no thawing. This could be a problem in more ways than one.

You may think you have no potential for flooding where you live but "flood" is more than just riverbanks overflowing. Flood includes surface water in general. Let's face it-- there's going to be a lot of surface water when all this snow and ice melts.

Flood is not a covered loss in the standard homeowners policy. You may be eligible for flood insurance and should seriously consider it BEFORE the meltdown begins. Keep this in mind-- there is a standard waiting period of 30 days from the effective date of a flood policy. So, calling when the water is inching toward your house is probably a call made too late.
